The change from Ohio to Florida is one I still haven’t acclimated to, apparently. My weather alert came on today, and I get the following “urgent winter weather message”:
The National Weather Service In Melbourne Has Issued A Wind Chill Advisory For Volusia…Indian River…Martin…Brevard…Lake… Okeechobee…Orange…Osceola…Seminole And St. Lucie Counties.
The Combination Of Increasing Winds And Falling Temperatures Associated With Arctic High Pressure Building Across The Southeast United States And Florida Will Produce Wind Chill Values Ranging From The Mid To Upper 20s In Volusia…Seminole…Orange And Lake Counties To The Upper 30s In Saint Lucie And Martin Counties Shortly After Midnight. By Sunrise…Wind Chills Are Expected To Range From The Lower 20s Across Volusia And Northern Lake Counties To The Lower 30s In Saint Lucie…Martin And Okeechobee Counties.
If Heading Outside Early Monday Be Prepared For Cold And Breezy Conditions…And Dress Appropriately. Remember That Several Layers Of Clothing Will Keep You Warmer Than A Single Heavy Coat. Do Not Forget To Bring Your Pets Indoors Tonight.

That’s just the wind chill. The temperature isn’t supposed to hit freezing. :-D
