I trust everyone had wonderful holidays. Ours were nice here.
I was wondering: If you could learn any new skill, what would it be?
I would like to take courses in publishing law and card dealing. :-)

I'm a freelance copyeditor specializing in fantasy and science fiction. SF/F novels I have copyedited have been finalists for (and have sometimes won) the Hugo, Nebula, Arthur C. Clarke, Endeavour, Golden Spur, John W. Campbell Memorial, Quill, Locus, Philip K. Dick, British Science Fiction, British Fantasy, and World Fantasy awards. In 2007 I became the first and only copyeditor ever short-listed for a World Fantasy Award.

I want to learn how to write a comic book.
Seriously.
I write and publish poetry and journalism, and I’m on the second draft of the first novel, so I’m geting a handle on that, and now I want to learn how to write comics.
It’s really the breakdowns I seem to have trouble with.
I would speak Finnish. Although time-management and relaxation also might be useful skills.
New: Learn to speak Japanese and Arabic.
Old: Relearn conversational Spanish and relearn reading music and playing piano.
Learning to draw decently would be great, but the others are probably more obtainable…
