He is pretty. He has all this gorgeous muscle that is completely genetic, because the lazy boy does nothing but lie around all day. I'll post a better photo of him when I get a chance.

Yes, what is it with people who put one of the hardest to clean surfaces in a dirty zone? Carpet doesn't belong in dining rooms, kitchens, or bathrooms, imo. And no humble about it. :)

He's dane sized--135 pounds and huge--but he's actually a Rhodesian Ridgeback. (You can see the "ridge" on his back a bit in this photo.) Ridgebacks usually top out at about 85 pounds, but Cecil's just oversized.

He was the runt of the litter, too!

Yeah, the dining room should look really nice when it's done. It had carpet in it, which I detest under a table.

I've had a Great Dane, or more specifically my sister had two while she was a newlywed and living in ONE ROOM my parents' house. Needless to say they did not keep the dogs confined to the one room, and we all loved them. My eldest, at the time about a year old, was allowed to sit on one of them for supervised 'rides' - and we joked about getting him jockey silks.

hee! My dog thinks horses are other dogs.

Lovely bay window--I've always wanted one. Settled for a miniature, but the view isn't the same. :g:

And think what great gatherings of friends you can have with an 8-person table. (heh, I typed 80- at first and wow, that'd be a few too many to make personal contact with at one meal!)
