The sweetest compliment
Published by Deanna Hoak July 12th, 2005 in kidsWhile I was getting ready to go out today, my two-year-old little boy came up to me and hugged my leg and said, “Mommy cute.” He’d never used the word before, though almost every woman he meets exclaims it to him. I said, “Are you saying Mommy is cute?” He grinned hugely and said, “Yes.”
My heart just melted. I think it’s the sweetest compliment I’ve ever gotten.

It beats my former 3 year old, with stars in his eyes, commenting on me in a lilac princess costume.
“Oh mommy, you look beautiful. Just like Miss Piggy!”
He meant well… *grin*
