I think I could finish the rough with that. Though I'm getting closer each day now! Maybe I'll get the rough done before then and can use the hotel weekend to revise. Editing, man. Finishing a book is like moving closer and closer to the speed of light. It just gets more massive and you need even more energy to keep it accellerating. I can only do it by taking a week off and going somewhere very quiet and doing nothing but writing. What is this mysterious “downhill sprint” you speak of?
