Fascinating Discovery

Scientists have discovered a methane gas deposit at the tip of an undersea volcano off of California, and the ecosystem surrounding the deposit has altered due to the methane in the area.

    The interesting thing to me was that it was just fifteen miles off the coast. That’s just about double my commute to work, and it’s not been discovered until just now. Granted, 2600 feet below the ocean’s surface does make a bit of a difference. But still, we have this odd cultural concept that we have discovered most everything there is to know about the earth.
