Visitor!

Had a lovely lunch with Safewrite today, who was visiting from NYC. The warm weather was quite a change for her, I’m sure. :-)

I ate way too much Indian food–I can never get enough of the stuff, and they had chicken vindaloo on the buffet today. Yummmmmm…..:-) I ended up skipping dinner entirely because I was still full.

Actually, it was sunny and 56F here today. I wore an airy skirt with flat shoes; no tights. Marvelous. The rivers and sewers are a little startled by the volume of melting snow, but they seem to be handling it pretty well.

Ding! Now I know what I’m making for dinner. Once again, thanks, Deanna, for the little unexpected insights.

    Sounds delicious!

    You’re welcome! :-)

You have a good recipe for vindaloo you can point me too? I tried making saag paneer once, but I was making the paneer from scratch, and it came out too crumbly–I think I needed more patience in pressing it. :-)

Ah, it’s nice that it’s warmed up a bit. I don’t know what it was here yesterday, but we needed the AC on in the car.

Yes, it was yummy. One of my favorite restaurants–I’m addicted to the spices. :-)

Today we have 60MPH winds and it’s going to be around or below freezing all weekend. Ah well. *) Hope she stocked up on warmth while she was there!

Wish I did. In fact, I rarely have the cookery patience to even consider pressing saag paneer by hand. You did, however, remind me that we had in the house all the ingredients for a killer tofu&veggies stir-fry with a new hot curry paste I purchased with the intent of experimenting with it.

It turned out so fab I saved you some. It should arrive in a cardboard box any day now.

make a wonderful selection of Indian curries in jars. I know they are not in Florida (yet), but maybe you can get them throught the mail?

Yes, it was a pleasure to meet you and a great time. My son Jonathan estimated your age as no more than 26, by the way.
