The best gifts in the world…

The best gifts in the world are these two wonderful, beautiful kids I have. I had an utterly lovely Christmas, and I hope all of you did, too, whatever the day means to you.

Reading recommendation

I’m sure all of you here read The Mumpsimus anyway, but if any of you haven’t clicked over to Matt Cheney’s essay “What Is Appropriate”–about teaching books that contain sex–I really recommend that you do so. It’s thoughtful and thought-provoking and raises issues that even people without kids should be aware of.
