The night sky

The night sky at my house was gorgeous tonight. The sunset was the most unusual I’ve ever seen. I caught a photo, but I wish you could have seen it just a few moments before–those pink formations were a vivid fuchsia.

And then the crescent moon appeared in the sky, with Venus underneath it more vivid than I’ve ever seen it.

I hope your evening is as beautiful. :-)

Nice pics. I can imagine what that sky looked like moments before. Reminds me of the day I was coming home on the subwawy (in Brooklyn, it’s above ground). The sky was similar to what I imagine yours was, so I had to call Kit to tell her to go outside to look. Turned out she was on the corner, looking at it, hoping I could see it. (Ah, synchronicity.)

And Venus! So that’s what that spot was. I only got a view through the trees, but the Moon was gorgeous (and I could clearly see the old Moon in the new Moon’s arms). What a night! Cold, but pretty.
