Warcraft funny
Published by Deanna Hoak March 19th, 2007 in blogI was playing WoW the other day and spotted a character named Novelist, and we had a conversation that went something like this:
Me: Hey, I’m an editor. What do you write?
Novelist: (after a long silence) Oh, nothing really. I just chose that name at random.
Uh-huh. Whatcha want to bet he was dodging a deadline? :-D

I'm a freelance copyeditor specializing in fantasy and science fiction. SF/F novels I have copyedited have been finalists for (and have sometimes won) the Hugo, Nebula, Arthur C. Clarke, Golden Spur, John W. Campbell Memorial, Quill, Locus, Philip K. Dick, British Science Fiction, British Fantasy, and World Fantasy awards. In 2007 I was short-listed for a World Fantasy Award for my copyediting.

I try not to get started on the WarCrack when I should be writing, unless it’s in conjunction with Child Amusement (after she’s done her homework) It’s too easy to be sucked in, and their quest text too-often is missing commas or misusing the occasional word…
Oh, yeah. The typos are bad. The “Viscous Hammer” kills me every time I see it, because I’m really pretty sure that they don’t mean that it has a glutinous consistency. :-D
Now, if it were a Munchkin card (www.sjgames.com can lead to Munchkin), they’d mean exactly that, and it would have a droopy, gluey hammer illustration…
I wish they had a Report Typo button.
(And a Report GameMail Spam button. Eugh, I just wanna forward them a copy…)
Hah! That is funny!
Thanks for the laugh!
