There’s a campaign out to get me nominated for a World Fantasy Award–Special Award Professional.
Thanks, everyone. :-)
Even if you haven’t bought a membership this year, you’re eligible to vote if had a WFC membership either of the previous two years.

About
I'm a freelance copyeditor specializing in fantasy and science fiction. SF/F novels I have copyedited have been finalists for (and have sometimes won) the Hugo, Nebula, Arthur C. Clarke, Endeavour, Golden Spur, John W. Campbell Memorial, Quill, Locus, Philip K. Dick, British Science Fiction, British Fantasy, and World Fantasy awards. In 2007 I became the first and only copyeditor ever short-listed for a World Fantasy Award.

Well, it’s about time! Go you.
Well deserved!
That is awesome – it’s totally deserved, based on what I’ve seen on you, and read of your edited work! (n’ hey, I’ve read Lynch’s before and after… how come you didn’t pick up on his mis-spelling of my sirname, huh, huh? Haha.)
You rock. I hope you win, and I’m sorry I turned in my ballot before I thought of you for that award. Grr. I wonder if I can correct it.
If I could afford a World Fantasy membership this year (which would, oh, require that someone give me a JOB!) I would SO go just to see you WIN THIS!!!!!!
Because, dudette – you deserve it. :-)
Rocking the copyedit, babe!
This is a fantastic idea. If I was going to WFC this year (grumble grumble), I would so vote for you, Deanna. You rawk.
Thank you all. :-) I know it’s a huge long shot as a copyeditor, but I’m incredibly happy about it anyway.
Jason, you don’t have to be going this year to vote–you can vote if you bought a membership last year or the year before!
Deanna,
Do you think going to the convention is useful for someone who has finished his first book and is trying to sell it??
John
Hi, John. World Fantasy is my favorite convention. I think meeting pros and other writers is always useful.
Go you! :^)
On behalf of copy editors everywhere, I hope you win! :D
