It's just discouraging. I wish I saw a way through for SFWA, but I believe people who say that they thought things could be changed until they were actually elected and realized they were wrong. Every now and again I get the urge to run for SFWA office on the "dropkick the Nebulas, display common sense" platform, then my agent and my editor lock me in my room without 'net connectivity until the crazies pass. *facepalms*
