For various reasons, I wasn’t able to work out for most of the summer; and then, when I could work out again, I kept putting it off out of dread, because it had been so long. (I rode my unicycle a bit, but nothing much else.)
Today, though, I finally got into the gym and did a whole round on the weight machines. I was simultaneously hit by this intense feeling of “Owwwww!!!” and “God, I needed that!!” :-D And I feel much better than I have in a long while.
If you’ve been putting off a workout because it’s been too long, get in there and get it done. You’ll be glad you did.

Right – that’s why I asked for a project where I could walk. I am eating half as much, have more energy and am clearer-headed. I needed the 2-3 miles a day I walk on this site. I hear you on the “ow” though. Stick with it!
So true! I used to train five days a week until a couple of years back, then I sat and got fat… about July, I had enough of that, and I had the same fear of starting until September… and now I’m back to five days a week!
More importantly… you can unicycle? That’s hella cool! I always wanted to learn, since a friend unicycled past me juggling on a beach once, and I knew I needed to do that before I die…
