Gah! Spam links in theme
Published by Deanna Hoak May 15th, 2008 in blogSo I have WordPress updated, but in my nice space theme that I love so much, there are tons of hidden spam links still. (I see them in Firefox if I go to Page Info and Links.) I have had no luck whatsoever searching out a way to get rid of them. Anyone have any advice for me on it?

In 2007 I was short-listed for a World Fantasy Award for my copyediting.

On this page at least, the only extra links (ones not pointing to other pages on your site) I see are the ones in the footer for wordpress and the theme k2. If those are the ones you’re talking about you may be able to remove them with the theme editor (Design -> Theme Editor) in the footer file.
Are those what you were thinking of?
I’m sure I can find them, but it would be easiest if you could email me the files.
Having just taken a look, I only see the same as Paul. And those links are in your footer (in the file footer.php).
Thanks a mil, guys. I have managed to get them deleted now–I had more than a hundred spam links hidden in the header and footer. The issue is described here, for any other WP users.
