Before everyone has their Thanksgiving shopping done, I thought I’d post a wonderful and easy recipe that I make every year. It’s a big hit with the grown-ups. :-)
1 lb fresh cranberries
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. water
3-4 Tbsp. lemon juice
8 oz. jar orange marmalade
1/2 c. brandy (I, uh, tend to use a little more, actually)
Toss the fresh cranberries in a baking pan with the sugar and water, and bake at 325 for 30 to 40 minutes (shaking the pan a few times during baking), until the berries begin to pop.
Remove the pan and stir in the remaining ingredients. It’s absolutely beautiful and ready to serve.
You’ll never go back to that canned jiggly stuff again. :-)
