I seem to wake up at 4 a.m. at cons no matter how late I stay up. I normally go to bed at 9 at night, so my body is just used to waking up early.
Alas, by 5:30, I’m completely ready to start my con day. At WorldCons, this is not a problem, because the delightful Allen Steele has the same waking habit I do and we can share coffee and stories. He’s not in attendance at this con, though, and a peek into all the places people might hang out reveals no one. *sigh* I’ll have to wait until breakfast starts at 7, and perhaps people will be about.
Hey, Early Bird, sorry for no worm! Have fun!
I feel your pain. Tomorrow and later we can try to arrange something for the earlybirds.
I’d love that. :-)
I will. I’ll end up flaking out and heading to bed tonight just as the party gets started, though, undoubtedly. :-)
I’m an early bird, too. It’s usually just me and Harry Harrison. Good luck.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Huh? What?
Sigh…wish I was there. (I too am always up and ready for tea at six–and the place is like a tomb.)
Is Wisconsin cold early in the morning?
Never mind, I STILL wish I were your travelling companion!
I’d wake up early with you … Mostly because you had paid for my ticket. :)
Good morning, D! I’ll see you by the coffee on Saturday morning!
I also tend towards the early side, but what with my trip to the West Coast and being oversubscribed, I’m not sure what will happen this weekend. If I’m up, I’ll join you and the other early birds. I arrive tomorrow evening.
I’m usually an early bird, but I use that early time to write. Maybe tomorrow morning I’ll swing through and see who else is up and about.
Cons are like RGs. If you’re not sleepy, you’re not doing it right! *grin*
