tagged me for this one, and to tell the truth, I don’t feel all that guilty about most of my pleasures. I’ll name a few that perhaps I’m supposed to feel guilty about, though:
1. RPGs
2. real butter and heavy cream
3. rare steak
4. Guinness
5. flirtation
:-)
And I’m supposed to tag five people. How about…, , , ,
Over on my LJ.
I love all of the same things except for the heavy cream. May have to out for a guiness and a steak and flirt with my wife tonight. 3 out of 5 is pretty good. :)
RPG videogames or bookish RPGs…or everything that RPGs symbolize?
Rocket-propelled grenades, of course. The woman is a high-explosives maniac.
I find that my fondness for #4 typically leads to #5 straight away.
I like to play console or computer RPGs, even though I get bored before I ever finish the vast majority of them. The only ones I’ve played all the way through are Summoner for the PS2 (which I hated initially and then loved once I got through the backstory and got my first extra character) and Fable for the X-box, which was pretty good, but a bit disappointing in that you don’t get the best stuff in the game unless you choose to be evil.
I prefer nonlinear games, too, but I can just lose myself in them and not accomplish the main goals. I loved Daggerfall that way. I played that game for…I don’t know how many hours, and really wasn’t too concerned about getting to the end. Its sequel, Morrowind, bored me really quickly, though. :-/
I like the interactivity of online games like World of Warcraft, but I dislike having to commit to playing a certain number of hours to go through dungeons and such–it’s the biggest reason I’ll be cancelling my WoW account.
Silly. FPSs are for boys. ;-) I need a sword in my hands, and spells to spew.
