I’m astounded at the things being developed these days. Here’s a nifty one: a T-shirt that senses your air guitar strumming and turns it into music.
On the copyediting front, for those LJ users who might have missed it over the weekend, you might be interested in checking out my post “Copyediting, Illustrated.” It was a damn lot of work, so I’m hoping it’s useful. :-)
Dude! Air guitar shirt!
I don’t know. Part of the attraction of air guitar–maybe the prime attraction–is the chance to look like a Guitar God without having to prove that you can in fact play the instrument.
I don’t know if adept air guitarists actually play the right notes/chords or not. I wonder if many would buy that shirt…
Kristine: I just assumed that it probably reproduced the rhythm of your strumming and tried to make it sound decent. :-) The article doesn’t really explain, though.
I’m not even particularly adept at air guitar, so I’m sure it wouldn’t do much for me. :-)
Deanna–I love the shirt! That sounds too cool! Bill and Ted would love it!
