Evan’s school photo came this year with a note attached saying that the school was sure I’d want the photo retaken, because it hadn’t come out well.
Here it is:
So…yeah, the photographer didn’t do the best job cropping; and yeah, Evan is squinting in the sun. But all I can think of when I look at that photo is, “Damn, my son is gorgeous!”
I kept it. :-)

You may want to take another school photo, but don’t lose that one. It has character. ;o)

I look at that picture and think, “That’s a kid who knows who he is.”

I agree: good lookin’ kid. I mean that in a purely non-perverse way. He has a look to him. It screams “future best actor” :P.
It’s not really a bad photo, in my opinion. I think the lighting is the worst part. but that’s me.
Those are the very best kinds of pictures, where your kid looks like himself. *g* I kept all of them from my kids. They were always my favorites.
